How it works

Browse. Inspect. Follow the trail.

The demo uses a fictional shop and illustrative observations. It does not scan your browser or inspect a live website.

  1. 01

    Visit a website

DeepScope can scan active web pages automatically. Turn that behavior off in Settings when you prefer manual inspection.

  2. 02

    Open the side panel

Keep the website in view while you browse the summary and technology findings.

  3. 03

    Review the reason

Open a technology to see its supporting observations. A missing detection does not establish absence.

Before you install

Understand what inspection can see.

  • The current extension source requests access to HTTP and HTTPS sites for
    automatic inspection.
  • Technology results and diagnostic records are stored locally. Settings and
    Diagnostics provide separate clearing controls.
  • Public page evidence can be incomplete. It does not expose every private
    system behind a business.

Frequently asked questions

What can DeepScope detect?

DeepScope looks for supported technology markers on the active web page: storefront platforms, content management systems, delivery infrastructure, analytics, and other integrations. Open a finding to see its observations and confidence.

Does it inspect pages automatically?

Yes. Automatic scanning is enabled by default for active HTTP and HTTPS pages. You can turn it off in Settings and inspect pages manually. The extension requests access to HTTP and HTTPS sites to support that behavior.

Does my inspection data leave the browser?

The current extension does not upload page observations or results to a Kaiju backend. Results and diagnostics stay in local extension storage. Inspection can make bounded requests to the inspected website for headers and selected same-origin resources. Read the extension privacy notice for details.

Can I use the extension on my phone?

DeepScope is designed for desktop Chrome. This website’s interactive example works on smaller screens so you can explore the interface before installing the desktop extension.

Does a missing detection mean a technology is absent?

No. A technology may be private, blocked from observation, used on another page, or unsupported by the current detector definitions. Review the available evidence before drawing a conclusion.

Where can I get help?

Email DeepScope support for help and setup questions. See the extension terms for usage and detection limits.
